Why I’m Writing A Book
Who is Vincent The Writer?
I’m a Hmong-American dude living in Minnesota, USA, who’s always been a bit of a daydreamer. Even though I grew up with sports and other hobbies, I always found myself sneaking onto Mom’s laptop to open up Microsoft Word and create my own worlds
At first I started writing skits and short stories for my family. Every now and then we’d get together to film one of my stories. Always, they’ll be the happiest moments of my life
The day finally came when I decided to write a book. This one’s based off one of the old skits I wrote when I was a kid, and I couldn’t be any happier to finally see it come to life! Hopefully you’ll love it as much as I do when it’s finally released :)_
My Journey
Sure, I’ve been writing skits ever since I learned how to type, but I never went to school for creative writing, and I honestly didn’t read much growing up
The first few years of writing my novel was mostly research. Hundreds of hours of studying authors and reading books rather than writing my own. It took longer than expected before I was confident enough to write, but well worth it in the end. I’m still not the best writer of course, but definitely better than when I started!
My Dream
Being Able To Do What I Love
Whether you’re a writer, painter, actor, or athlete, I want to at least provide some inspiration, some spark to your creativity so that you feel fulfilled. Life is short, so spend it doing what you love :)_
I can confidently say that writing this book has been the biggest step I’ve taken in life. I can hardly wait to see where it takes me, and I’m already looking forward to creating more worlds beyond ‘Where The Skye Fell’
